We’re gathering at Hank’s Garage & Grill in Downtown Shawnee for a day filled with food, drinks, KU Football, and Sam’s spirit. Whether you knew Sam personally or are looking to support a meaningful local cause, all are welcome to come out, connect, and make an impact.
We will have hats and socks available for purchase while supplies last during the event!

Parking at Hank’s Garage
On-Site: Parking is available in the designated lot right at the venue.
Overflow / Street Parking: Free street parking and public municipal lots are located within short walking distance along Nieman Road and Johnson Drive throughout Downtown Shawnee.
You are also welcome to park in the Vita Craft and Splash Cove parking lots.
Please note: DO NOT park in the Lennox parking lot to the North side of Hank’s, they will tow.
OUR WHY
We’re giving back in honor of Sam Byers, who tragically passed in 2025 just weeks before his wedding. Sam was born and raised in Kansas City, a community he loved - especially it’s sports teams. To keep his legacy alive, we’re partnering with United Way to support our local community—turning our grief into meaningful local action.
